convict spawn on wood?

can convicts spawn on drift wood? i've finally got my convicts to pair off, but before i go and buy a cave for them to spawn on, will drift wood do? i have tonz in my monster tank, i could even make a cave for them. or do they absolutly have to have a rock or flower pot?

try a clay pot thats what worked at my school my teachers used to breed all the time

At our local aquarium society auction, pairs have spawned in the bag on the auction table.

Decorate for your taste, they'll find a way to fill that tank with fry.
