Convict swimmers getting sucked up in filter?

I have just noticed a few of the convict fry getting sucked up into my whisper hob, I assume they will die or will they find a way back out and what do i do to prevent this from happening?

Take pantyhose, and stretch it to the max, then wrap it around your intake tube. That's what I do when my guppies have babies.

panty hose may get clogged up in time, try an "aquaclear" replacement sponge for a HOB filter and cut a hole in it and rubberband it to the intake tube

consider them history....and get a hydro sponge for your filter, and def make sure the intake is as high up as it can go and you will be fine

also...for the time being you could shut down the HOB filter and use and airstone to create oxygen in the water...should be fine like this for 2-3 days

Thanks for all the input I have stretched a bio bag around the hob ( 15-30 whisper) I think it will do the job.
