Convict with mbunas

Nope. I had a platinum HRP temporarily with some demasoni, and everything was always hiding except the HRP. Pretty sure he still had convict blood in him but I can't imagine a pure convict.

In a large tank likely. IME in close quarters convicts arent really a match for most mbuna.

Worked for me in a 40, I had a convict with a group of assorted mbuna and I had that tank for a couple years. So it worked for a couple years anyway until I sold them to switch to saltwater

Were they all introduced at the same time, or some later than others? Most of the mbunas I have were in the tank for years, so I’d imagine they’d be pretty unforgiving.

I had my convict about a year before the mbuna. The convict bullied the mbuna at first and the mbuna were much smaller, so that could be why it worked

That could do it. So far, mine haven’t really been nice to anything that isn’t mbuna. I’ve heard of success with cons, so I figured I might as well as ask.

Ya if you’re mbuna are already established, i don’t see much of a chance it works.
