I bought this Convict about 3 weeks ago and I was wondering why he has no stripes, He has bright blue fins and it looks like he has like 2 stripes but they are not very black at all, then they will go away after awhile, will he get stripes or was he just born like this? Because the other baby ones had real nice stripes but not the beautiful bright blue fins, I've never seen a Convict with blue fins before.

possibly a Honduran Red Point of some sort or con/hrp hybrid.

no problem. mine in the pic above doesnt hesitate to rumble with the cuban and grammodes for the top spot in the tank.

Yeah right now mine is fighting my Jag that is 2 times bigger than him, tore a bit of his upper lip off.

I got one that has no stripes. Dad was pink mom was black. Only one with no stripes.

there are true convicts that have a lot of blue in them (though rarely seen in the common lfs), hrp and then all kinds of crosses between cons, HRP and even sajica.

either way, con stripes can come and go depending on their mood. generally the darker their stripes, the more territorial they're being.
