Convict with Oscar

I picked up another 75 gallon today to rescue an Oscar. I don't really want another lone fish because my buttikoferi is already solo in A 75. Ive been told I could probably throw a convict In with this guy. Seems like it could be an interestig pair. Any thoughts?

A female will likely be eaten or killed. Even a full grown female can be eaten by a 12" Oscar. (I've seen it before) a full grown male would have better chances of survival if any. Either it could end badly but it's a hit and miss. You won't know for sure till you try.

it depends alot on the oscar, i've kept female cons with my oscar without any fights or the osar trying to eat anyone

I agree that's why I said its hit or miss. I've seen oscars live with cons comfortably then there is the aggressive ones that would take out a con in minutes.
