convict wont eat

i recently bought a pair of convicts im 80% sure i got a male and female

one stays near the filter all the time and the other hides in the grass every once in a while i catch them swim side by side and fannining each other niether fish eats i tried flakes chiclid sticks frozen beefheart and blood worms
they ate the worms after sittin in the tank for hours

Keep the lights low, and they will come around. Fast them for a couple days, they will readily accept anything that hits the water in no time! Good luck and congrats on the cons....

Females will have an orange belly Pic 1 is a girl, pic 2 is a boy, pic 3 is what you are in for, pic 4 are pink convicts....Enjoy.

females have a distinct yellow on their belly and tent to be smaller, males are just black and white get no yellow and get about 5-6" although ive seen one on here measuring up at 7"
