Here is a good shot of my convict pair's wrigglers.

You can see more of the pair/spawn here: My Convicts

Here is the female guarding the wrigglers:

Here is a close up of two of them:

And a little bit closer:

In a day or so they should have absorbed most the egg sac and be free swimming, I will try to get some shots of them as well.

great camera!!!

Yeah, I use a Kodak EasyShare z740 point and shoot camera. It is about 5 years old I think, it is only 5 megapixel, but the focus is pretty good. I shrink all of my pictures down to 640 by X before I post them to my MFK albums, the orginals have much better resolution.

If I had a Canon or a nice DSLR I would be set!!!

Here they are as free swimming fry:

yeah, I am going to try to get shots of them every other day or so, track what happens to them, then make a convict breeding photo-log thread

the link in my sig has all the pics.

Is it a whole 55g just for 3 convicts? I'm trying to breed convicts myself, I have a pair, but I don't think they're compatible, I use a piece of slate tilted sideways against the glass as a cave and the male and female could both easily fit in it, but the male pushes the female out whenever she tries to go in with him. The female has her breeding colors, and the male is about 1/2 inch longer than her. I try to keep the water warm, I do hot water changes every 3-7 days depending how busy I am (due to lack of a heater). The male and female are the only fish in there and they are both in a 10g tank. I'm thinking about adding 2 more females if they don't start breeding soon. Any tips?
