ok i just got another female convict cause my "pair" wont breed so i brought her home and thats when i notice she had her breeding tube down so will she lay eggs still or since she was seperated from her mate will she not breed? and the old female convict has a red tail and a bright blue jaw and a just a lil orange on her stomach so is she a different type of cichlid? the male is 2.5 then new female is 1.5 and the old female is 2.5 also

you might want to buy 3 males and 8 females if you want to start a breeding pair.

This was a feeder i gave my baby bass, she was not even a 1'' long.

its a 20g so thats not gonna happen.... so if she lays eggs will the male still fertilize them?

It all depends. So there is 1 male and 2 females in the 20gal? And why don't you think 3m and 8female won't work in a 20gal when all is less the 2.5''?

Females grow faster then males. So, it took about a month and a half.

2 peppered cories ( got today) so ya.. im trying to breed stuff for feeders for my stargazer
