Hey is there any way to tell between a male and a female convict

female: orange/red/yellow belly. Smaller, stout, rounded nose, shorter trailing fins.

male: no color on belly, pointed head, hump on head, larger, long trailing fins.

yes there's no orange on the belly

note that for some smaller cons, the orange might be less pronounced and harder to see, especially on the pink cons.

Further,

Males, even at a small size, can be distinguished by their behavior if you watch a tank of them closely.

And again, even at a small size, there is almost, almost, no mistaking the body shape of a male convict.
