Convict ?

I bought a male and female convicts yesterday and today found that all the sand has been moved in one corner of the 55g does this mean there come spawn.

But they haven't been aggressive at all to any of the other fish.

Make a cave for them They will gaurd the fry from other fish and basicly guard them werever they go.

probibly, my Blood parrots cleared an area under one of my decorations and thats were they lay eggs...

Yes....Normally they choose a flat rock or the insides of a flowering pot.........But, I have had Convict cichlids spawn on the sides of the aquarium...

convicts spawn anywhere! and as for not being aggressive yet well not all get to aggressive at first but once they do spawn watch out!

They can spawn in the nastiest of water.

I found my convicts were not aggressive till the eggs hatched. Than they went crazy.

Spawn is a coming. Be careful they hit puberty before they're free-swimming.
