i want to breed convicts for my LMB and RES.. is a 20g tall to small? i would also have a 55 if i cant do it in the 20. also will they eat snails so i know if i can breed my snails in the same tank or not.

you could breed a small pair in a 20h, eventually they will get to big though. If ya can get a 29 gallon and have a divider ready also. To produce the maximum about of feeders you will need additional tanks for the fry and for grow out. Takes about 3 months to grow to 1/2-3/4 inch.
Not sure about the snails, best guess would be that they would eat them though.
