Cool thanks. Just wondering because it's been 3 weeks and they haven't spawned yet. They do share the log and flower pot like their territory and the male keeps digging around the area. Also sometimes I see the male chasing the female around the tank. Is that normal?

That's normal for any breeding couple we say a week because eventually they will breed like rabbits.

Don't worry it's been two weeks and mine having spawned yet but they share a pot and the male is smaller lol

Spoke too soon I see eggs now lol my other pair the female is turning very vibrant so I think they going to lay as well.

My 3.5" female pretty big for a convict female is sizing up my 14" male Flowerhorn lol and he's backing down along with my 6" male convict haha

I forgot how insanely good parents cons are and will kill others trying

Males will have little to no orange red hue on them and females will have noticeable red orange hue on them. When the females are ready to breed them will be very vibrant in colors and then lose it all and become dull.
