I have two female blood parrots. They lay eggs quite often.
I have been wanting to add another type of fish with them. A man on craigslist is selling young convicts for a buck a piece. He said the father is an albino convict and the female is normal. I sent him a photo of a blue and black striped convict and he said the female looks like that. I really like the look of them but have never owned convicts. From what I have read, BP's and convicts will breed, resulting in jellybean or convict parrot cichlids. Does anyone keep these fish together? Do you think it is a good or bad idea?
