It's most people's experiences. Mine started at 2.5 inches.

o ok cause i have 4 of them in a bare bottom 10 gallon wit sea shells in it and i have two sea shells flipped over so if they do breed they can breed in that or do u tink i need gravel and a flower pot or wat any ideas ill take em?

Remove the other two out of your tank as a spawning pair can bring them too much misery to be honest. Give them the fine gravel and flowerpot although flowerpots usually suffice in a barebottom tank.

a half a flower pot would work.....but as for the bare bottom....not 100% sure, based on my experience, never produced fry....(For me)...might work for you.

but i dont kno which one is female or male but wat i will do is keep the two argest ones in the tank and take the two smallest out
