Can I pull the parents from the tank?

i would if they are eating their babies...are you sure that they are eating them? they could just be hearding them...

It's this pairs first spawn and she didnt deposit the one she took in anywhere in the tank...

You can pull the parents but if there are any other fish in the tank; the parents won't be around to protect them.

If it is the first, believe me, it wont be the last. Sometimes it takes a few spawns for them to get good at parenting.

They do that when they are herding them. But if you are sure they ate it, its possible that was a bad one, maybe it was sick or something (they eat the eggs when they are bad). I mean, if they were gonna eat them they wouldnt jsut eat one and no more. They would probably gobble them all up.

i usually just let nature take it course so that they learn. They have the instinct to do the right thing so something triggered them to eat them.
