Hey guys ive got an emty 30g with rocks and an empty ten would you reccomend breeding in the 30g or 10g

depends on your expectations as well
never tried convicts but i have breed few other species of fish and had better results in terms of numbers with larger tank, not sure of the reason for it but i am guessing it has to do with the available room for growth

I have successfully bred convicts in a 10. I originally had 4 convicts in the tank, 2 paired up so the other 2 were removed. The pair have bred several times since solo in the 10g.
Do you intend to raise them or use them as feeders? If feeders Id say use the 10 because you can grab them out easier. If you wanna raise them you may as well keep them in the 30 or use the 30 as your grow out.
How big are they? This is the most important question as you may have a 2" pair or a 5" pair. The bigger NEEDS a bigger tank.
