Convicts in a 55... tips and tank mate ideas?

I am starting up a 55 gallon and want to put some convicts in it I think.. I don't know what would be good tank mates for a pair of cons and ideas and tricks with cons would be welcome..

Try giant danios and , or, a catfish like synodontis or raphael

Any top surface dwellers would be perfect for that setting. Danios and hatchetfish would be a good bet.
