convicts + jack dempseys

well if you have a breeding pair of convicts, that would change it drastically how often they are at peace, what are the sizes of the fish and what size tank?

the 2 convicts are about 4-5" the tank is 300 gal. shared with other fish of course. i'm just worried about dempseys ganging up and bullying the convicts. other fish can handle themselves if they were to be picked on. athe moment only have 1 jack 3-4" in seperate tank. getting 3 more, not sure on size yet. 1 convict is new and not yet developed into a pair with other one. she has been paired with a dominant 7" parrot.

i would be mored worried about the jacks. what other fish you have in there but the convicts are fiesty and can hold there own . what other fish you have

my 7" parrot is the dominant fish in the tank, but my other assorted cichlids won't back down. they won't go looking for a fight either. the others aren't bothered unless they get chased out of another one house.

If the tank is 300 gallons, it most likely won't be a major problem.
btw, by parrot are you referring to the parrot cichlid Hoplarchus psittacus? :)
