So I got my 125 gallon empty for a few weeks wondering what to do with it I want something somewhat low maintence but still entertaining to watch, so I figured just get a pair of some easy to breed fish and let the fun happen, but the question remains how I should go about doing this, at first I wanted to just do a pair of convicts but I also love the colors of the salvinis, I was considering doing both a pair of each but idk yet. Any thoughts ?

Do you have something to do with the masses of fry you'll end up with from the cons? lol idk about salvinis, but the cons will breed like rabbits - or worse, like convicts! :)

Or worse, like Australians (inside joke)

It could work, just give both types space to establish a territory using pots n stuff

Hahaha I think its just Tasmanians lol don't lump the rest of the country in with us Two Headed inbreeds :P

Post Script: it is a general stereotype in Australia that Tasmanians are all inbred, we're not actually inbred... Most of us anyways

I think a pair of convicts and a solo salvini could work

Is the salvini tough enough to eat the convicts fry? Because that could work wonderfully if that's the case. :D

i saw this crazy movie about Tasmania and a group of scientists that went there to try and find Tasmanian Tigers and all they found were cannibals....i think it was called "Hidden" or something like that - it was an Australian produced independent film, crazy as hell, man

oh yea, the thread.....you can do a Pair of each in a 125g, and probably some Dithers too

Why not do a tank with one marbled con,and one firemouths, then breed select offspring for certain traits.
