Convicts spawned, now what?

In a 15 gallon long i have a pair of convicts im trying to breed as feeders. The aquarium is heavily decorated with driftwood, live and silk plants and stones with one HOB filter.

My female was hiding under a driftwood cave she dug out over a week ago. Today i did a water change and saw and three inch wide clump of brown babies.

This is my first time raising feedees, what should i do next?

Also, is is normal for the female to take guard on the nest. They lip lock and she chases him from the nest.. how long before they are free swimming? And when do i remove the parents? Thx

I usually leave both the Male and Female in for a couple of weeks and mine are usually really good parents, both protecting the baby's and rushing up to the glass whenever i get to close. After a couple of weeks i just take the offspring out and add a couple of Fire Mouths in with the Cons. The Cons team up to control the tank and whenever i put the Fires in their with the cons, the cons always seem to breed again.
