While I realize they're omnivores by nature, anyone have success with random veggies?
To date, they've been indirectly offered peas, green beans, romaine, cucumbers, zucchini, etc. Generally, they'll just pick at it, play tag, or spread it out across the tank bottom before the pleco gets to it.
Found some frozen brussel sprouts and added a single thawed sprout to the tank. The cons are currently gang banging it all over the tank while the pleco tries to keep up.
Just a bit confused, as they don't go after feeders/shrimp/worms/crickets/my arm this aggressively (Though they do try to jump out of the tank and into the food containers at feeding time
).
I'm sitting here watching some 1" females swimming underneath a 5"+ pleco trying to steal it.
Apparently sprouts are now on the regular menu.
