well a week ago i had a pile of eggs, that vanished , i figured they ate them , so last night we are looking in the tank and there are a pile of wigglers on the opposite side of the tank, so they must have moved the eggs or something, but i have never had wigglers befor and have no idea what to do, if anything? some advice would be awsome

pics below. also why would they choose a open spot of the tank rather than one of the caves? lol theres a pic to show what i mean

also got a nice close up of the wigglers.

Just sit back and enjoy watching the parents rear their fry. If you do remove them the best way is to siphon them out with a hose. The parents will do a good job of getting them food, if you remove them though just ground regular flakes between your fingers.

This being their first batch of fry don't be alarmed if the fry all suddenly disapear. They are new parents and don't always get it right the first time.

i have free swimmers now, i decided to leave them with the parents after watching how the mother was feeding them and protecting.

this poair i got from a friend of mne , he has around 300 1' convicts from this pair

if you dont want them to get eaten you could put them ina bucket with an aerator or a sponge filter

I got something to say on this subject. If you remove the fry watch out for aggression between the two parents. Sometimes the bond doesn't last. I lost my first female this way after sucking up the babies.

the mother seems super protective, she isn't bothering any of the other fish unless they go within about 6 inchs of that corner of the tank, and its really funny if one of the babies goes outside of the 6 inch section, she flies out to were they swam really fast with her mouth open, scoops up the baby ( first time i seen it i thought she had a snack) then she goes back to the corner and spits the baby out wityh the rest , really cool to see.
