i got a pair of convicts i pick them up cause the had breed before and since i got them they havent done anything i got them in a 50gal tank and have a flower pot inside the water temp is 80 there is other fish inside im now out of all ideas on what to do.

hmmm.......I guess the water parameters are all okay also?
They will breed it just may take time for them to adapt to the new surroundings. 2 months isn't very long but they will breed eventually. Try no to stress them out either. Like if you are messing with the tank alot or maybe your kids are(if any kids) or its in a high traffic area can all stress fish out. I have had many pairs but I know my last pair would bug out if the lights were on. I would shut them off and they would be fine and breed. that was a first out of many pairs that wanted to do it with the lights off but hey, maybe s/he thought it was romantic.

Throw in a second female. That is what worked for me. I bought a mated pair and after I brought them home their bond was broken. After about 6 months with no breeding I was fed up so I bought another female and threw her in the mix. Within about a week and a half I had fry. Sometimes they just need options.
