i have a male+female convict in a 29g tank i am upgrading to a 55g soon and was wondering are there any fish that can go with them?
and if not will the pet store take them back? or well how do i get rid of them?I just dont want them anymore i kinda want new fish and cant afford 2 tanks

yeah, U could put a JD with them, more cons maybe, but pretty much any large cichlid that can work in a 55 =)

but btw, I run 3 tanks and I cant notivce that it takes much more to run 3 than it would to run 1...

I have a 55 and 2 20s =/

what about 1 bichir?

in a 55 gal u could probably add a salvini idk firemouths maybe even a bichir

:iagree:firemouth or salvini. A school of nice looking tetras?

Firemouths or Salvs would look cool ^ as the above mentioned, or some quick schooling fish to give the tank motion would be cool too. Be careful if you get some schooling fish though because if the cons breed they may start to pick some of them off, but shouldnt be a problem if there quick

are you serious? 2 more tanks than 1 to me is a lot more work. more water change, and cleaning another 2 filters every time...

with breeding convicts you might want to stay away from any other cichlids. Convicts can be real mean when breeding. I wouldnt recommend a firemouth because they are semi aggressive and might not be able to handle the convicts punishment. I would recommend just have two males and about five females, add about a dozen giant danios, maybe a pleco(he will eat the fry when the lights go off and this could reduce aggression).

Are you serious? If you don't want the responsibilty of taking care of your fish the RIGHT way and doing proper maintenance and water changes maybe you should find a new hobby. The fish really don't deserve to live in sub par conditions. Also a 55 and a 29 would take maybe an hour at best to do a good water change once a week and replace the filters every 2 - 3 weeks. I do a 50% every week on a 30 long a 75 and a 125 and its not really that hard. I mean you cant spare 1 single hour once a week to take care of your fish.:irked::confused::irked:
