I have a breeding pair of convicts that I moved to their own 55 gal tank so they can breed and have all of the fry with them so I wont have to have a seperate tank for the fry and they wont cause harm to anyone who wants a snack. lol. But now it seems they have stoped breeding because there is no enemy? I'm not sure if this is why maybe they have too many babies? Should I add any fish with them, if so What should I add? I dont want to overload the tank and I will probably sell some of my babies soon. Any ideas would be great. :)

they usually wont breed while the fry are still very young, from what i have heard, they will eat some of the fry when they are ready to reproduce again.

How long have they been on their own? Probably still settling in to the new tank. It really doesn't take much to get them to breed. There's plenty of other fish you could add, but personally I'd give it a little more time. Only real requirements for cons to breed is 1) a male and female pair and 2) water...

Yeah, I was surprised myself when I started with my convicts how quickly they paired off. They have a lot of fry but the fry are now about an inch to inch and a half. So they arent too small. Only two of the fry i can tell the sex of because they have started to get a red/orange belly. lol. I moved them to their own tank maybe 2 months ago at most? I think... Not quite sure.
