Do convicts eat their fry. First attempt at keeping convicts and already about 40 fry. Never raised any.

like sandtiger said they are good parents but some convicts eat there babys you should keep the baby con in another tank if you want them to be raised or youc an keep it with there parents ethier way its fine
i have bean breeding a pair of pinks every months for about 2 years and they always produce atleast 200 eggs the babies grow faster if left w/ the parents but i have had one batch of babies eat the second set of eggs. i also had 1 tiny 1/4 inch pink kill almost 50 geophagus babies about twice that size so don,t mix babies of different fish together if you do remove them
