Hi,

I was wondering if its ok to feed your fish cooked peeled shrimp? I saw a big frozen bag of them in my supermarket for pretty cheap. But i don't know if its ok coz they're cooked?

it wont hurt them, but it's not as good as raw.

Some of the "good stuff" will have been cooked out.

Bought one of those bags myself. Never could get my fish to eat the cooked ones, only raw.

If they eat them, I don't see the harm, but like rallysman said they won't have all the "good stuff" raw has.

make sure they dont have any salt or butter though

thanks for the replies everyone. i guess i'll buy them and soak them in some fish supplement. but i dont know where u can get any in the uk

I have a bag in the fridge for emergencies have used them a lot in the past just warm them up in some warm water first.

:iagree:

They usually have raw shrimp in the same areas at the market that are peeled as well. I never had any luck with the cooked stuff. I actually performed a test...dropped one of each in the tank and they all made a "b" line for the raw.

sure I use it all the time it usually cheaper and easier to make the rest ino shrimp cocktail:drool:
