I saw this guy out in front of my house so I decided to get a couple photos of him. I'm not sure what exact species it is but it's some kind of Folded-wing Skipper. It looks almost like some sort of alien figher jet.

I've been pretty busy lately so I haven't had a chance to key out what exact species it is, but I know for a fact that it is some sort of Folded-wing Skipper which is a type of butterfly. There are a couple species of skippers in the link below.

It is not a bug. Bugs are Hemipterans. This is an insect in the order Lepidoptera - namely, butterflies and moths. And yes, he's right in that it's some sort of skipper (a butterfly, not a moth.) We get quite a few here in the Northeast. Awesome find!
