Hmmm you should go with a marble pim but they get bigger then 2ft sometimes or if you want to go to full marine get a silver tipped shark. They start in fresh water as babies but go to marine when adults

marbled pims don't get 2 feet "sometimes." If they are housed properly they should be able to reach 30."

And don't get a silver tipped shark. They can reach 6-8 feet long and require HUGE swimming spaces.
