Cool fish for 55gal

I am finally setting up my 55gal tank and was trying to figure out what to stock it with? I kind of want some medium sized fish but am not sure what to get. Any ideas??

unfortunately, some people call them by that name.
just stick with "exodons"

oscars will outgrow 55 in less than a year. convicts are cool or any cryptoheros species like sajica

yeah, bucktooths are the same. convicts and firemouth cichlids would be cool too

senegal bichir and a black ghost knife, they will both get long but not large, and they usually have great personalities.
