Cool fish to put in 100 gallon rubbermaid pond

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I didnt see it was cold water stuff. i would probally put 5 bluegill and a pleco for clean up.

they should seeing as there invading Florida. As for fish id stock:
Green Sunfish get 6-8" max, but VERY aggressive
Bluegill think they get 12" unsure tho
Catfish may work im not used to cats so i dont know
Grass Pickerel nice predatory pikelike fish 12" max, warning they bite

I would aerate the pond so you can have more fish in it. Also you can have a sweet largemouth bass if you plan on getting a pond up to 500 gallons to support it.

The common pleco in my experience has done ok in an unheated pond. They do much better then smaller or frail plecos. But I also have read that their taste in fish slime coats goes up, people see problems with them on their fish. If your climate is a bit warmer, but not hot enough to be tropical ive heard of people doing oscars. Other than that i would agree and say archers. I also just read that paradise fish can do well in 50 - 90f temp. Also might wanna check out bitterling, American flagfish, shubukin, sarasa, and mosquito fish.

a weather loach, there mildly interesting.
