how do they do it?the water should overflow from the top down to the btm due to the pressure.anyone can explain?

get a glass and put it in your tank, submerge the glass and then tilt upside down and you can pull it out the water all the way until the lip of the glass goes above water, where the water in the glass will then flood out. It is the same principle.

yeah but how do they hold it there and allow bubbles to get into it as air will depressurize the whole thing.

A vacuum that sucks the bubbles out?

That's just going to suck when the power goes out and that vacuum cuts off and all the water flows out when the bubbles hit the top.

so you are saying there is a vacuum tt sucks the air out of there at the top to allow the pressure to stay constant?i still dont get it.but it looks very easy to do but very complicated to figure out.

the bubbles are actually taken from the top via a venturi and then let to rise back to the top. I've seen a larger scale one then this with a pond then a 29 gallon tank upside down, and it was pretty cool.
