Cool plant that blooms in warm water

Im looking for a plant that I can throw in my overflow box. It will be sittn in a 3" net pot. Id like a cool blooming plant or just a cool lookn plant in general. It will be on my cichla tank so the roots need to be able to survive the water in the 80s. ANy suggestions?

One of the guys chimed in the cichla section. Looks like a lotus might be an option. I have emailed a lotus supplier to see if they can suit my needs. Fingers crossed i can get one for my 3" net pot

Most plants can grow in it. Hell i've got a 2' avocado tree growing out of a HOB Lillys get big though, not sure if your box will be able to hold it for long once it starts growing.

but will that avacado tree put out fruit? I want something appealing to the eye. I was told a dwarf lotus should work well for my idea. We'll see...im ordering one real soon.

You can get Peace Lilies at most any plant store, I had one in a tropical tank (roots only) for maybe a year and it did well.

Umbrella palm, pothos, sword plants, and they all help with water quality.

I have an in tank background, and stick the umbrella palm behind it. The pothos is basically draped over the tank, and the sword plant is tucked behind a log in the tank.
