I've seen several people do that type of painting in person, and I think its just amazing..
My wife actually bought one of those painting for xmas, and its of a wolf with a black, purple background and moon and stuff....once its framed, I'll have to take a pic and post it up
 
i saw a guy at a swap meet the other week doing that there real good
