In Melb we generally get a few days in a row close to or over 105f and so are used to trying to keep tanks cool! Basically the tank will heat up to whatever temp the room is at, so without lowering your room temp it will be constant battle.
ya im here on the marine base in 29 palms in the high desert. it gets to 105 to, lasy year in hit 110 at one point. then in the winter in gets cold
