Hi everyone,
I was curious if there are some ways to lower the temp. in the tank without getting a cooler. Right now it reaches 80 F during the day and i have angels and silver dollars and small BGK in there.
I was thinking of maybe adding some ice cubes in there during the day or maybe a small water bottle full of ice. Has anyone tried smth like this?

Edit: Temp right now is 85 F wanna get it down to 80.

get some fans to blow at the surface of the water. LFS do sell them, but if you find those expensive, a computer fan or a clip-on mini fan would also work.

Could always run a canister filter to a copper line thats coiled have it infront your ac and let the ac cool it down. Be more work but theres a cheap chiller

This.

I'm trying to figure out how would the fan setup work for me since my tank is closed top, but i like that idea. Bottle with ice does not look good in the tank. Fan could b attached to the lighting so while the lights are on the fan will be working, the only problem is how to place under the glass lid.... maybe just cut a small hole for the wire and attach it under the lid.
Canister to the ac won't work since my tank is in the living room and the ac is on the oposite side of the room

the fan might work with the lid but it might be better if you opened the lid or removed it. You need to cool the air between the lighting and the water.
