Hopefully I have this in the right section...
I just picked up a few new Cichlids from a friend of mine that will be moving to California soon. Three were adult Copadichromis borleyi, two female and a male. I'm new to the whole Cichlid breeding thing, so I was hoping to get a few tips from anyone with experience. Any info that I need to know about the breeding of this species would be appreciated.:)

In the 55 gallon that My Borleyi are in I run PH around 8 I have a play sand substrate. I have a rock pile in one end and a large open area for about three fourths of the tank. In my setup I have 1 male 6"+ and 3 females around 4.5". I just let them do what comes naturally and there seems to be a batch of fry about once a week. If you provide a large enough open area you will actually get to see the male build a bower nest which is quite a trip to watch. To see this nest requires a 180 or bigger.

Well, what do you want to know? Ask some specific questions and we will try answer them. We also need to know more about the setup.
They are in a 55-Gallon, and it is now just a male and female. Lost the 2nd female last night along with two other different species. :irked:

First sentence sounds to be about the same as the tank that they are in. The temp. is also about 80 degrees.
So pretty much just sit and wait, and let them do what they do?
