Hello there and have a question. Ive had my Mandarin Dragonets
(1m/1fm in 40g) for 1 week and the same day i got them i got a bottle of copepods. Then that night i turned off lights then added copepods. The mandarins seem to be finding food but am unsure. I also have a hang on the back refugium with spaghetti algae and a diff type, forgot name each about 1 cups size. So should i buy another bottle of copepods and where should i place them? In refugium or tank?

You should put this in the general salt section. IMO a 40 gal can not sustain a mandarin, unless your fuge is huge. You also need a ton of live rock for the pods to hide in

You need to give those dragonets to someone with a suitable tank. You obviously did not do your research on these fish. While I think it is possible to keep a dragonet in a 40, I doubt you could keep 2 unless you had done some serious preparation. These fish will go through more copepods than you will feasibly be able to buy, so you will either go bankrupt, or they will slowly starve. My suggestion is to find someone who has a large reef tank with no other copepod predators in their system. If you dont beleive me just try a small google search on feeding mandarins. I dont want to sound too harsh, but you should always do some research on the fish your getting before you buy it, and buying two mandarins with a 40 gallon tank with no preparation for feeding was only asking for them to slowly starve
