I am goong to use a copper heat exchanger to heat my tanks. For simplicity, it would be nice to dump the copper pipe dorectly into the aquarium sump, but of course, copper will give me problems .

Does anyone know of a sealer or clear coat i could put on top of the copper pipe to prevent it from leaching to the tank?

Must be able to withstand hi temps. About 180F

To my knowledge as long as you don't have any inverts you'll be fine with not coating it. If you still don't like the idea and can't find a coating that will transfer heat you could plumb in a stainless steel heat exchanger like they use in liquid cooled computers.

Essentially the device is an air conditioner/dehumidifier where the coils lie submerged dumping the heat into the water.

Not sure if refrigerant is used inside of stainless, but should be simple to find out and like you said, no worries then.
