Somewhere???
bought one last week and he seemed to be doin well till i got home tonight. found him at the bottom of my tank, one claw ripped off, dead. how is this possible? not an aggressive tank at all (at least i think so). one clown, flame angel, damsel and blackcap gramma. a pistol shrimp too. would the pistol kill the coral banded? help cause i really hate to see my guys die. :(
thanks guys

I always find snail carcasses by my pistol shrimp's lair. I have no more fire shrimp (dunno where they went). My CBS is fine though.
Are you sure that isn't his molt?

could have been the damsels nipping at him, pistol shrimp wouldn't have hurt him, emerald crabs could have in the night

i thought it was his molt initially myself. but found that weird cause he had just molted a day or two earlier.
has to be the crab.... :irked::irked::irked:

Crabs are evil, period haha, they will eat anything that they can overpower. Which isnt an issue in a pred tank (except the preds mite eat them haha) but with corals and other peaceful tankies, crabs have a free buffet once they get bored of algea.
