I was wonder why at most places you can get a coral cat shark egg for less then a bamboo shark egg. Is the death rate of them hatching and living less then that of the bamboo? the average hatched bamboo shark sells for around $50-$75 and the hatched coral cat shark runs around $200.

Coral cats are a bit rarer in the trade, but from what I've seen price is about on par with brown banded or white spotted bamboos as pups (about $80-100 for a well adjusted and eating pup). I've never seen a $200 coral cat pup. Where are you finding them at that price?
