How predatory are coral catsharks?
I guess a better question would be, will they try to eat fish that will not fit in their mouth?

Generally more concerned with other fish attacking them. Puffers, triggers, angels etc are all bad news for sharks.

Coarl cats arent that aggresive, they normally shouldnt go after any fish in the tank, although any small gobies or anything along that line obviously they will try to eat. But yes your biggest concern would be triggers, puffers, angels, etc...

Are porcupine puffers the same as normal puffers in terms of nipping?
I've never even seen ours pick at live rock, and he wont usually even eat food off the bottom.

Porcupine puffers are usually pretty aggresive and wouldnt risk putting a shark in with them, I have seen some that really arent to bad but in the end its your call.

Depends on your group of coral cats. They are for all purposes a predatory group hunter. If something triggers them or sets them off, they frenzy pretty quickly.
But for the most part, they hide and mind their own business if they are well fed.

I wouldn't keep any puffers at all with small sharks.

Well, the shark is like 14'' and the puffer is like 5''.
If you guys don't think it would work, I won't do it.
I really don't want to end up having any of the fish involved getting screwed up.
