Hi guys and gals.
Within two weeks Im getting a brand new canister filter so I was thinking about using some coral chunks as biomedia in one of its trays and I have a doubt that I'd like to share with you guys to know some of your experienced opinions.
I am already using some coral chunks as biomedia in one of my filters, not to much of it tho, just literally a handfull, I know it is good for FH because it buffers the PH, being fh fish more suitable to thrive in alcaline waters than in acidic ones.
My doubt is that if I use, lets say, two to three pounds of coral chunks shoud too much of it have a negative impact in water params?.
I have seen coral chunks is a rather porous stuff, do you think it can make a good biomedia or should I use just some bioballs instead?.
Cheers.
