coral id?

im not sure what this is. i think it is some type of soft coral

Based on size, I say Zoanthid.

They are zoanthids..
they are way cool
Google them and you'll fine THOUSANDS of different colors and sizes.

Cool. It seems to look like a tree I was thinking I would use some putty and mount it upright off some rock.

i have 2 more corals that im not sure what they are. i ordered a nano soft pack from liveaquaria and they didnt specify what they were. im sure 1 is a type of mushroom. not sure of the other. might be a leather coral. ill get some pics tonight.

Oh for sure, but thats what I mean, rockwork usualy spreads horisontaly, so the zoo's go horisontal LOL. But if you put them on a "pillar" they will look like they grew upwards off the rock haha.

"Puttying" it sounds like a mess to me. If I were you I would either use frag glue or just set it down where you want it. Just make sure that it is gunna stay there...I lost some devils armor paly's by not gluing enough...and yes. +1 to everyone who said zoanthids. Those are nice
