Coral Lighting w/ Flourescent??

I have a 20" 19 watt fluorescent light in my aquarium, which I am making into a nano-reef (10 gallon). I'd like to have soft corals (like the mushroom ones ). Can I just put a different type of bulb in, or do I need a whole different light system??

That should be fine for mushrooms. They don't need much light.
I was really lucky to get the 24" 2x 36W fixture for only $45 shipped
(it was a black friday deal from hellolights.com)
