If i make my 30 into a saltwater tank. What could i put in it. Like a mantis shrimp or small fishies. And any suggestions on these goings.

yes, mantises are fine, six lined wrasses, cleaner shrimp and cleaner wrasses, flashing wrasse, piccaso trigger for a while... not too long, and a lot of other fish that I can't think of...

Ill probly do live coral with it.

you could have a cowfish only for a few weeks...

You'll need good lights to keep corals..
And good live rock along with a decent skimmer... (not a seaclone)
A pair of occelaris clowns would be cool along with a Yasha Hasha Goby spistol shrimp pair and a fire shrimp.. Some nice zoanthids an a few Acans and Duncans or denddros. Maybe a feww encrusting monti's on a few rocks..

4 bulb T-5 fixture could keep all these alive and be quite colorfull..
I have a 29 gallon along with the 125 nd they are cool cause they don't take much to fill up with colorfull critters..

Yea im getting a bigger tank soon for a cowfish. And i am converting my 30 cause ma oscars are grown out of it.

would 2 mantis shrimp be ok in it. Or would it look better with more fish.

Is that all in ur 29 gallon. Seems like alot!

mantises would fight, depending on what species, and try to get a 75+ for the cowfish, you know it'll need at least a 100g... for the longhorn, the camel cow is good in a 50, because it only goes to 4 inches... but they are uncommon...
