So, I'm trying to figure out the optimum lighting situation for a planted 10 gallon tank setup I'm getting started. Needless to say, I've been eyeballing these Coralife Colormax 20W compact fluorescent bulbs.

I've got a hood that has two standard light bulb medium screw-in bases, so I'm limited to bulbs similar to the one I'm describing. From what I can tell, the light output from the colormax bulbs looks to be 6700K. I'd have two of them in the tank. From what I've researched, this is a healthy spectrum of light for freshwater plants, rich in the red light spectrum more than the blue.
My questions are:
Has anyone had experience with these bulbs? Good? Utter crap?
Any recommendations for better bulbs?
If you like these, can you send me a link to the cheapest price? Lol! I'm looking at $30 for two of them, plus shipping.
