Coralife T-5 Colormax Lamp-36"

Hey I was wondering what people thought of the Coralife T-5 Colormax Lamp-36" the tubes that came in the light for my 220 are crap they are "natural light" so they are yellowish. I just through my 4' fixture on my tank to try it out and it looks 100x better (it has a stock all-glass tube).

but since that will be about $70 I want to make sure they are good.

by themselves they are not good.

too pink and too dull.

BUT when used together with a bright white bulb, they create an amazing effect:

a nice bright tank WITH colour enhancement properties.

I use a 10,000K T-5 Coralife with a ColorMax in my Coralife Aqualight T-5 double strips.

I am going to go with 2 Coralife Freshwater bulbs (I think 10K might be a bit much) and 2 Coralife Colormax.

should be good.

I used to use the 6700K T-5s with the colormax, but found that I liked the 10,000 K better when paired with the pink one.

the 6700 K when used by itself is on the yellowish/green side, as are all 6700K bulbs, but when used with the colour max it should look great.

I went with the 10K and the color max it looks really good now my silver aro looks awesome

My camera only takes good pics with the flash on so I cant really get a good pic of the lights...

I will try but I am doubtful.

see, I told ya it would look great!

my 30 and 20 long beside the 65 salt have this combo.

you can sort of tell what the lighting looks like:

its very bright but the fish still look good.
