Coralife Turbo Twist Questions

Hi Guys,

I am just wanting to know if the Coralife Turbo Twist Uv's are in fact UV Sterilizers or are they just UV Clarifier's ?

They are sterilizers but they only "sterilize" if the flow rate through them is appropriate. I generally follow the 10gph per watt. So my 9w UV sterilizer I run through at ~<90gph and I have watched it eliminate ich from the water.

How do you throttle it to 90 without screwing up a pump?

I wouldn't want to keep it on the return of a 300+ gph canister if I wanted it only running at 90.

I would use a smaller separate pump just for the uv sterilizer.

My two questions based on that approach are:

- I don't even know of a pump that is that weak

- what if you don't want to have extra tubes in the tank?

Is there a way to T off a canister's return line and back into it to be sure you're diverting just the right amount through it?
