Hello, I am trying to figure out how to provide flow in my Shark/Ray lagoon, and I have narrowed it down to two options. Either a Dolphin 7500 gph closed loop external pump or 4 CoralVue 3000 gph powerheads.

So my question is would the powerheads cause electricity to flow through the water and cause discomfort for the sharks and rays? For only $45 each it is very tempting. Here is a link to the product: http://www.aquacave.com/coralvue-hi...-br-driven-powerhead-3000-gph-br24w-2596.html

Any thoughts?

Thanks:)

There should'nt be any electricity flowing through the water if they are working properly and grounded. They would sure be more cost effective than a 7500 gph pump. I have seen those powerheads that half is on the outside of the tank and the impeller is on the inside if you are concerned about current in the water.

Are you talking about Vortechs? I would love to do 2 of those, but they have magnets and are $400 for only 3000 gph.
